I grew up in a single income household where hard work was the only definition of wealth I knew. My mom worked constantly to provide for me and my three sisters, and I learned early that money came from effort, not understanding.

As an adult, I followed that same pattern. I chased promotions, climbed the corporate ladder, and believed income was the answer.

Then I was laid off.

I had no savings, poor credit, mounting debt, and no financial structure. I was working hard with nothing to show for it.

That season forced me to learn what no one had ever taught me. How to budget correctly. How to save with intention. How to pay off debt strategically. How to invest. How to create systems instead of relying on income alone.

As I applied these principles, my finances completely changed. Stability replaced stress. Clarity replaced confusion. What many would call wealth began to take shape.

But even then, something was still missing.

It was not until I developed a genuine relationship with God that I understood what true stewardship meant. I realized money was not the goal. Order, peace, and purpose were.
